“I have been searching for the best harness for my pup for a looong time. They either have buckles that rub behind the arms, they're too cumbersome or the buckles are difficult to slide for tightening or loosening, and I've measured her several times and sometimes they simply don't fit. I don't know about your dog, but Maddie does not like velcro, at all! The mere sound of velcro tearing over her shoulder is enough to make her flee. I put the Puppytie on her with one click, easily loosened the straps which were effortless, it fit her perfectly based on her weight - not my clumsy measurement skills, and voila! She was very accepting of her new harness. They have many wonderful colors and details (cutest bowties) to choose from so I will get another for spring/summer but chose this beautiful gold suede with matching leash for Autumn! And for those of you who are not aware - I once read that A SMALL DOG'S TRACHEA (breathing tube) CAN BE CRUSHED WITH THE FORCE OF A LEASH PULLING ON A COLLAR. A harness is necessary to prevent that. “This is probably the 5th harness I've tried with my little three-year-old Shih Tzu rescue, Evie. She was very timid and everything scared her to the point I had to leave a leash on her for about two months so that I could catch her if I needed to. The problem was that she could back out of the harnesses. I did finally find one she couldn't back out of, but although it worked well was rather bulky. She's come a very long way in a year, and so I looked for a less bulky harness but one that she couldn't back out of just in case. I'm so glad I found this one! “Just received yesterday and obsessed with how cute it is! It’s exceptionally good quality as well and comes in gift like packaging including a burlap travel bag (like the ones you get when buying designer shoes). I ordered a Small which just fits (can’t adjust larger), so if your dog is even a bit larger you may want o go up a size.”

The harness seems pretty durable, as my little guy loves to run around crazy and roll in the dirt. It has been the best harness I have found, by far!
